Rethinking fitness and nutrition for menopause and midlife

I hear it all the time:

“I’m training harder these days but I can’t get rid of this belly that I’ve never had before.”

These frustrations are so common — and completely valid. The truth is, your body simply doesn’t respond the same way it did in your 20s and 30s. Fluctuating and declining hormone levels affect how we build muscle, burn fat, recover, sleep, and even manage stress.

But here’s the good news: you can absolutely still get results post-40. You just need to train and fuel your body differently.

As we move through this stage of life, the focus shifts toward being smarter and more efficient with both workouts and recovery. That means:

  • Prioritising strength training to protect bone density and build lean muscle.
  • Supporting cardiovascular health without overdoing long, draining cardio.
  • Maintaining mobility and stability to stay active and pain-free.
  • Getting adequate rest and recovery to balance stress and hormone health.
  • Eating in a way that supports energy, metabolism, and muscle maintenance.

This isn’t about restriction or punishment — it’s about working with your body, not against it. With the right approach, you can feel stronger, more confident, and more energised than ever.

Through my 1-2-1 personal training, I create tailored programs that are built around your goals, energy levels, and stage of life. Every session focuses on building strength, supporting hormonal balance, and helping you move and feel your best — now and for years to come.

I offer a 30-minute free consultation. This is so we can learn more about each other and I can find out more about your individual fitness needs and goals.

After a free consultation, I will put together a training plan based on your goals and how often you can train. This will make getting on the right track quicker and easier.

What package or sessions are right for me?

You can get started with my Introductory offer, which includes everything you need to get on the right track. After you have completed my Introductory package you can then buy session packages that include blocks of 5, 10 or 20 sessions at a time. The more sessions you buy at once the more you save.

How many times per week should you meet with a personal trainer?

The number of sessions with a personal trainer really depends on a number of factors, including your budget, availability, and need for accountability. On average, most clients meet with their fitness instructors for one to three sessions per week (an average of twice).
